Due to COVID restrictions, a reminder to parents and carers to please wait outside the Senior School and to phone the College or Medical/Attendance Office to collect your son.

All new students to the College, across all year levels, will have their photos taken for their Student ID cards this Thursday, 10 February, in the Junior School Hall.

Junior School boys who have PE that day are asked to bring their grey College shirt for the head and shoulders photo.

Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Fr Laurie Blake, the Parish Priest at Mary Help of Christians Parish from 2003 to 2013, who passed away earlier today. 

Fr Laurie’s funeral will be held at 11.00am on Thursday 17 February at Our Lady of Fatima, North Goulburn. A vigil will also be held at St Michael’s Bungonia at 6.00pm on Wednesday 16 February.

Please keep Fr Laurie’s family, friends and the wider Mary Help of Christians Parish community in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. 

A reminder that enrolment in Mary Help of Christian’s Parish First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion Sacramental program for 2022 is now open. This program is open to children baptised Catholic in Year 4 and above.

Enrolment for this program is available on the Qkr! App or on the Qkr! website.

The Parents/carers’ Information Night will be held on Wednesday 9 February at 6.30pm in the Church. The first Reconciliation session for children and their carers will begin on Wednesday 16 February at 6.30pm in the Church. The Presentation Mass for families will be held at the Church during weekend masses on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 February: Saturday at 6.00pm, Sunday at 8.30am and 10.00am.

Save the date for Youth Group:

The new Youth Minister, Adam Shelton, is excited to announce that Youth Group is starting back up for 2022 on Saturday 19 February! Students from Years 5-12 are invited to join in the Parish Hall at the following times: 

• Years 5-8: 4.30pm - 6.00pm (before Mass)
• Years 9-12: 7.00pm - 9.00pm (after Mass).

In 2022, Corpus Christi Parish will celebrate sacraments in the following school years: Confirmation in Year 6, First Eucharist in Year 5, and First Reconciliation in Year 4.

Enrolments will be included on the Parish’s Qkr! App (search for South Tuggeranong) and each sacrament will have a specific enrolment period:

• Confirmation: Enrolments from 14 March - 4 April. Celebration in June
• First Eucharist: Enrolments in August, celebration in September (specific dates to be confirmed)
• First Reconciliation: Enrolments in October, celebration in November (specific dates to be confirmed).

Online registration for Marist Winter Sporting Clubs are closing this week.

Please check Club websites prior to registration for more information. Parents need to ensure that their child/children are registered by the closing date of the registration period to ensure participation in that sport.

When considering registering, there are a couple of points which all students need to be aware of:

1. Students currently representing the College in cricket or rowing: You must continue to honour that training and playing commitment even if there may be an overlap with the pre-season training of your chosen winter sport. Your first priority is to your summer team. In doing this you will not be disadvantaged in your winter sport selections.
2. When choosing a winter sport, remember that you are expected to attend all training sessions and all games during the season. In doing so, you are supporting your coach and your team mates.
3. College Sporting teams play in an age-based competition. All boys are registered to play in their appropriate age level. The College endeavours to ensure that we maximise the participation levels during competition which may require the movement of students up an age group. The College and clubs work together to ensure if the need for this happens, it is managed appropriately. 

Premier League (Football) exemption forms

Students who are considering playing for a local Premier League Football Club need to complete the Exemption form which is found on the Marist Football Club website.
