A range of opportunities have been designed and are available via the College’s website to help the Marist community explore the sacredness of Holy Week while at home.
Our thanks to the Mission Team for creating these valuable resources.
The College community, friends and families are invited to view an online version of Canberra Marists Way of the Cross at the ‘Forming Beyond’ YouTube Channel from 10.00am on Good Friday, 10 April 2020.
The event will feature more than 20 guest speakers along with beautiful photography and music from the past eight years of the Way of the Cross.
Forming Beyond YouTube Channel
This brand new video series for students provides fresh and informative three minute episodes about Jesus, Mary and Marcellin with a sense of humour and some time for prayer. The following topics have been covered so far: value of work, staying connected, being disturbed, teamwork, solidarity and laughter.

Resources for engaging in joyful music making at home
At Marist, we appreciate that families are going above and beyond at home during our online learning phase. To make things easier – and hopefully more enjoyable – the Performing Arts Department would like to share some simple resources for engaging in joyful music making at home.
Bigger Better Brains at Home is created by Canberra researcher, Dr Anita Collins, who has been working to bring together the best research that demonstrates the social, emotional, and importantly, the neurological benefits of a rigorous music education.
These simple, yet effective, activities can be completed by anyone at home. Some of our teachers have been testing them out with their families and have thoroughly enjoyed the joy they bring during this difficult time.
Applications are now being accepted from current families who may be considering enrolling any sons not already at the College into Years 4 – 12.
While applications need to be received no later than Sunday 31 May 2020 to be considered for enrolment in 2021, we strongly encourage families to submit their online application as soon as possible.
We would also encourage current families to let any friends who may be interested in enrolment that they can now apply online via the College website.
Temporary closure of College Uniform Shop
Please be advised the College’s Uniform Shop will be closed for Term Two.
Thank you for all your support so far this year.
Best wishes, stay safe and we will see you all again when we can.
