From Wednesday 2 December 2020, hundreds of pictures, artworks, animations and videos of students work from both Visual Arts and Technology and Applied Studies will be celebrated in the 2020 ‘Beyond’ Exhibition.
Due to government restrictions, this year’s event will be held virtually, allowing attendees to share in the celebration and excitement from the comfort of their own homes.
The Exhibition will be available to view via the College's website.
The College will present “Grease” as our Big Brothers Production in 2021. The production is a timeless classic rock and roll musical charting the ups and downs of the senior students at Rydell High.
Being in a musical is something that everybody should endeavour to try at least once in their life. At Marist, the emphasis is on stepping outside of your comfort zone, being supportive and feeling supported by each other.
Auditions will be held in Week 17 on Thursday 26 November and students can apply by filling out the audition form.

In 2021, the College, supported by the Archdiocese and our local parishes, is implementing a Youth Sacramental Program for students currently in Years 8 to 10.
The College has identified a need as for various reasons, boys have not been able to receive the Sacraments with their peers.
This program is an opportunity for these students and their families to deepen their Catholic faith through the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion or Confirmation). It is open to students who are considering one or all of these Sacraments.
The design of the program will be partially dependent on the needs of the candidates, yet will involve a mix of twilight sessions for the family and weekly sessions held here at school. Priests from the local parishes will also be involved in various sessions.

The Faith Formation Folio project commenced in 2012 with the twin objectives of providing an ongoing repository for student reflections on their faith development from Years 4 to Year 12, and to contain the end-of-year reflections that parents, House Group Leaders and students completed.
This year, we will not ask you to provide an end-of-year reflection for your son. Rather, we encourage you to find a moment over the coming weeks to sit down with your son and explore his Faith Formation Folio which was recently returned to him. Our hope is that these discussions will continue to be a part of your relationship and we trust that the Faith Formation Folio has been of some assistance.
In 2021, a new process for recording and sharing reflections in Canvas will commence in the form of an e-formation folio. This digital space will provide greater parental access to reflections and increased opportunities to reflect across a wide range of settings (whole of House Group, RE classes, year groups, and at home).
We believe reflective practice is an important skill for our boys to learn and the e-formation folio will continue to provide a space for this process.

This year, we are asking members of the Marist Community to join us in making a difference to peoples’ lives by making donations of non-perishable foods, toys, gift cards, toiletries, sporting equipment and school supplies. Essentially, anything that would make a Christmas an enjoyable one can be donated. We ask that all gifts remain unwrapped so they can be easily identified and given to the right families. Please also ensure any food given has an expiry date beyond six months so families have plenty of time to consume it.

Donations by Senior School students and staff can be made through House Group and hamper baskets are located with House Group leaders.
During the next week, we are asking for donations from Junior School students for the Vinnies Christmas Appeal. Each year level in the Junior School has been allocated specific gift types and one donation from each boy would be fantastic. St Vincent dedicated his life to serving the poor and we aim to continue his humble work.

The Marist Brothers have been holding retreats for Brothers, teachers, students, and families at the Marist Hermitage Mittagong for many years. These retreats are held in the beautiful grounds of the Hermitage, previously the site of the Marist Brothers Novitiate.
There are a variety of retreats offered, from one day duration to four day residential. Opportunities for spiritual direction are also available. These retreats are open to members of all Marist communities which includes families and past students.
