Thinking about accommodation for tertiary studies in Melbourne? Marist House Fitzroy offers student residential programs for young adults, studying at one of the many tertiary institutes in and around Melbourne.

Marists have a long tradition in building community around young people to promote their education and full human growth.
To enquire about available places for 2023 please contact Br Frank McIntosh.
This program is an opportunity for students and their families to deepen their Catholic faith through the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion or Confirmation). It is open to students who are considering one or all of these Sacraments and are from Years 7-12. Sisters of these students are welcome to also partake in the program and receive the sacraments as a family.
The actual design of the program will be partially dependent on the needs of the candidates yet will involve a mix of twilight sessions for the family and weekly sessions for the students. These will mostly be held here at the College. Priests from the local parishes will also be involved in various sessions and families will need to connect with their parish. The Sacraments will be received within each student’s local parish in and around Pentecost on 28 May 2023.
To register for the program and for any further enquiries please contact Leesa Callaughan.

Last call for donations!
This year we are again asking members of the Marist Community to join us in making a difference to people’s lives, by making donations of non-perishable foods, toys, gift cards, toiletries, sporting equipment, school supplies etc... Essentially, anything that would make your Christmas an enjoyable one can be donated. We do ask that all gifts remain un-wrapped so they can be easily identified and given to suitable families. Also, please ensure any food given has an expiry date beyond six months so families have plenty of time to consume it.
Donations can made through House Groups and hamper baskets have been distributed among House Group leaders.
Marist Vinnies group would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your on-going support throughout the year and wish you and your family a very happy Christmas.
Please note that the last day we can accept donations is Monday 5 December.
Over the next couple of weeks, Darlinghurst House are supporting Lions Club Recycle for Sight Australia. An initiative from within the House, we are asking for donations of used glasses/spectacles to donate to humanitarian organisations overseas. Over the 26 years that the Australian charity has operated, the program has delivered over 7 million pairs of refurbished quality spectacles to men, women and children in need across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
There will be collection boxes in the Junior and Senior School Reception areas to take your donations. Many thanks for supporting the Lions Club Recycle for Sight Australia.
Saturday saw the official start to the 2022/23 Rowing Season with Regatta 1, the Marist/Canberra Girls Grammar Regatta. A big thanks to the volunteers who assisted Rowing ACT in the running of the Regatta. It was perfect conditions on course for all crews throughout the day. A great effort from all of our coaches but special mention to the coaches of our junior year groups in getting our new rowers out on the water.
Our Blessing of the Boats and Captains presentation ceremony took place after the regatta. Thanks to Fr Richard Thompson for the blessing, Headmaster Mr Hutchison and Mr Slater for attending and our Teacher in charge/rowing Mr Milligan for his efforts throughout the day.
Congratulations to our Captain of Boats - Jesse Rosin (Year 11) and Vice-Captain of Boats - Darcy James (Year 11).
Our next regatta is on Saturday 26 November.

We had perfect cricket weather on Friday and Saturday and Stage 1 Stars made the most of it with Liam Apps taking 7 wickets for only 4 runs and Xavier Honan taking 5 wickets for 6 runs. Liam's efforts included a quadruple wicket maiden and Liam was on a hat-trick twice in the same over.
Unfortunately, the storms rolled in and washed out all of Sunday’s cricket.
