A reminder a new Marist Puffer Vest is available and can be worn as part of the College’s uniform.
This Puffer Vest can be worn in place of the College jumper and also under the College Blazer.
This new item is available to purchase through the College’s online Uniform Shop. Two delivery options are currently available - ‘home delivery’ and ‘delivery to boot’.
The Art Department would like to thank all of the students who have contributed fantastic works to our online art exhibition so far. We saw an influx of wonderful student creations throughout the school holidays and we invite all students in the College, from Years 4 to 12, to continue sharing these with us through the final term of the year. These will be displayed in the online exhibition – Art Injection.
A student’s first name, their year level and the title of the artwork will appear alongside each submission. The first works from the online exhibition can be viewed below.
Students will be able to upload and share any pieces that they have created.

For the past five weeks during Online Learning, our House Deans, House Group Leaders and Captains have been working hard to ensure Senior School students are connected with each other and participating in various competitions via either the Canvas page or social media.
The College and House Captains have initiated a range of competitions to keep the boys involved. This has included:
A 'Trickshot' competition, whereby Marist boys from all ages were required to complete a trickshot and send it in. We had a range of entries including a backwards three pointer basketball shot, a footy goal from half field, and a ping pong ball that landed in a variety of containers.
During the second week of lockdown, the Captains launched the ‘Cupcake Challenge'. A large variety of cupcakes were entered into this competition that included Cookie monster, Zoo cupcakes, House-coloured cupcakes and cupcakes that required a lot of icing!
Special thanks to our Head of Hospitality and Food Technology Dave Moore for judging this completion. Mr Moore made the following comments:
“The winner of the cupcake competition is Nathan Granatelli from Conway House. His Cookie Monster themed cupcake would make Jim Henson proud. The colour spot on, the piping impressive and the cookie for the mouth a delectable addition. Honourable mentions go to Josh Thorburn (Haydon House) for his piping skills that wouldn’t look out of place at a French bakery, and to Jacob Dawson (McMahon House) for his creativity and dedication for his individually decorated, zoo-themed cupcakes. The competition was strong with many more coming close to making it onto the podium. Thanks for all the entries.”
Our current competition is the Marist Lego Masters competition. The Marist boys are challenged to build something creative out of Lego. This competition will continue for the duration of the holidays. We look forward to see what the boys can create with Lego.
I would particularly like to acknowledge our College and House Captains who have come up with the ideas for the competitions, participated in them and helped promote them. Your efforts in keeping us entertained are appreciated by all of the boys at Marist.

During the past two weeks, the Marist boys have courageously disappointed our mothers by cutting ourselves an awesome home mullet! The reason we have all created mullets is to support mental health.
The College is a proud ambassador of R U OK Day which took place on Thursday 9 September. Initiated by the School and House Captains, our goal is to acknowledge mental health in our extended community. We challenge all boys to participate and recognise mental health using the hashtag #maristmullets4MH. The more mullets, the higher chance we have of getting the teachers at Marist to get mullets.
