Junior School Parent Teacher Interviews
A reminder to Junior School families that Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 June for all Junior School families. Bookings through MyMarist close on Friday 16 June.
It is important that each family book an appointment with their son’s Junior School class teacher as it is your opportunity to discuss the semester report in further detail with you.
The interviews allow parents the opportunity to express feelings, questions, and concerns regarding your son’s educational progress so far this year.
Please note if you have a son in the Senior School, they are not holding Parent Teacher Interviews at the same time as the Junior School.

The St Vincent de Paul Society has launched its annual Vinnies Winter Appeal with a focus on the number of older women experiencing and at risk of homelessness. The latest census figures revealed women over 55 remain one of the most at-risk demographics, increasing by 37% over the past decade to more than 7,300 across Australia.
This year we are again asking members of the Marist Community to join us in making a difference by making donations of warm blankets, jumpers, socks, gloves and other winter-related clothing that are new or in very good condition. These items can be donated in identified boxes located in House Deans’ offices until Friday 4 August.
This year our specialist homelessness teams have identified the following donation needs:
Marist Vinnies group would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and your kind donations.
Lorraine Gannon
Head of Social Science
We are asking for donations of AFL and basketball jerseys or training jerseys to take with the boys on our Darwin/Tiwi Islands immersion during the holidays. These jerseys will be distributed to kids in the Catholic Care holiday sports program on Tiwi Islands and will be very appreciated! If your son has any jerseys lying around that he has grown out of or is not using, can he please drop them in to Miss Southwell's office in the Student Hub before the end of term.
Important Reminder for Year 6 and Year 10 Families
A reminder that families with sons currently in Years 6 and 10 at the College do not need to re-enrol their son into Year 7 or Year 11.
Our expectation is that once a student is enrolled at the College, their enrolment will continue until the completion of their studies in Year 12.
For all other 2024 enrolment queries, please read our FAQ's and timeline or contact the College Registrar.
National School Sports Championships in Darwin
Congratulations to Archie Brown (Year 7), Lachlan Miller (Year 6), Luca Ciocca-Marchant (Year 7) and Preston Singer (Year 7) who were selected in the ACT U12 Boy’s Cricket team to compete at the National School Sports Championships in Darwin between 3 and 9 June.
Over the course of the week, the ACT team played five matches in a mix of 40 over and T20 formats against Queensland, Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia on Darwin’s finest grounds and turf wickets. The team was led by Luca Ciocca-Marchant who was named as captain of the squad.
It was a fantastic experience for the boys to build their skills and play against quality opposition. Notwithstanding the final placings, with the team coming eighth, the ACT showed tremendous improvement from their previous campaign in Ballarat last year.
Archie, Lachlan, Luca and Preston were all impressive ambassadors for Marist College, the Marist Canberra Cricket Club and the ACT.
