Winter fittings – no appointment necessary

To minimise wait times late in Term One or during the April school holidays, we recommend that families start visiting the Shop for their winter uniform requirements. No appointment is necessary.

• Years 4-6 Navy Fleece Jumper (available to be worn with formal uniform) – various sizes

We warmly invite parents/ carers/ significant family members and students from Years 4-12 to attend our 2021 Son-Rise Breakfast on Tuesday 30 March 2021, 7.30am - 8.30am, in the Senior Hall. The guest speaker will be former Marist parent, Denis O'Brien. 

Ticket Price:

• $6.00 per person

Includes egg and bacon roll, tea, coffee and juice. Gluten free and vegetarian options will be available on the day.

Guest Speaker: Mr Denis O'Brien

Denis is the father of one daughter and four boys who graduated from Marist. He was a partner of Minter Ellison before his appointment by the Howard Government to head the Migration and Refugee Review Tribunals. Denis was later the Chief Lawyer of the Truth Justice and Healing Council, overseeing the response of the Catholic Church to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. He is active in his faith at Parish of Mary Help of Christians and is a member of the Sing Australia Choir.

Parking:

Please park on Marr Street or park in the asphalt or dirt car park to your left as you enter Gate No 1.  Please do not park in the bus bays or staff parking areas.

The Marist community is invited to attend the Way of the Cross in the grounds of the College on Friday 2 April 2021 at 10.30am.

As places are limited, registrations for this event are essential. 

A reminder that any participants will need to sign into the event using the ‘Check in CBR’ app, be mindful of social distancing, and follow any instructions given by staff.

Enrolment for the 2021 Sacrament of Confirmation program at Mary Help of Christians Parish opens on Monday 15 March 2021 and runs through until Monday 19 April 2021. Enrolments can be made via the Mary of Help Christians page on the Qkr! App or via the Qkr! website. 

Early enrolment is encouraged. 

All in-person sessions will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 115 Hodgson Crescent, Pearce.

Anyone interested in trialling for the various regional sports needs to log onto the School Sport ACT website and register for the sport that your child wishes to trial. It is the responsibility of parents to monitor the website for any upcoming sporting events, if your child is interested in competing in the regional competitions.

Please also note: if your child is successful in being selected for an ACT team to participate in a national or regional tournament, you need to write a formal letter to the Deputy Headmaster or Head of Junior School to seek permission for absence from school during this period. Once the College has received such a request, it can then be formally approved for your son’s participation in this activity with School Sport ACT. Secondly, we will also be able to acknowledge his achievement in the College newsletter.
