Junior School Cross Country Carnival
The Junior Cross Country Carnival will take place on Thursday 23 May (Week 14).
Boys aged 9 and 10 years will run 2000m, while boys aged 11 and 12 years will run 3000m.
Parent helpers are required on several checkpoints on the day. Please email gedgalvin@mcc.act.edu.au if you can assist. Typically helpers are required from 11:15 until 12:30pm.
The cross country course uses College grounds and local bike paths and tracks. The course concludes on #1 Oval in front of Marcellin Hall Grandstand. Junior School PE lessons will familiarise all boys with the courses and build upon their fitness. All boys will be involved in training for cross country during PE. Boys who are unwell or have an injury will require a signed note from home. All boys are encouraged to work on their fitness over the holidays.
Australian Football School Sport Australia trials
Trials will soon commence for the 12 and under boys Australian Football team, which will compete at the School Sports Australia Championships in Geelong from 4-10 August 2024.
In addition to attending trials, interested students must register via the School Sport ACT website.
Trial 1 – Sunday 5 May, 10:00am-12:00pm (Hughes Oval 101 & 102)
Trial 2 – Sunday 12 May, 10:00am-12:00pm (Hughes Oval 101 & 102)

Tennis and Softball trials
Trials will also commence soon for the 12 and under boys tennis and boys softball teams.
