Golf News
Over the semester break two of our golfers qualified for the Australian Junior Amateur Championship, played at Gosnells Golf Club from 9-12 April.
Blake Jones (Year 11) and Harry Whitelock (Year 12) jetted off to Perth to play against the best junior amateurs in Australia and New Zealand.
The course was extremely challenging and both boys were well in the running after round 1. Blake’s round was interspersed with some excellent golf, but found it hard to keep pace, in a highly competitive field. Harry kept pace with the leaders and made the cut, which was an excellent effort. In the end Harry produced four rounds of solid golf to finish tied 28th.
This was a wonderful experience for both our boys and from their performances I expect to see them occupying leaderboards in the future.
Ice Hockey
Congratulations to Konrad Nel (Year 12) and Theo Denny (Year 12) who represented the ACT in a National Ice Hockey Tournament in Newcastle over the Easter weekend.
Basketball
The official team lists have been announced for the U16s National Junior Championships for Basketball being held in Bendigo over the Semester break from 6-14 July 2024.
Congratulations to Ashton Law (Year 10), Mitchell Wise (Year 10), Peter White (Year 10), and Daniel Schultz (Year 9) who have been named in the travelling squad and to Sekou Traore (Year 8) who has been named as a reserve.
