In an exciting new initiative, Marist College, in partnership with Girls Grammar, will be introducing dragon boating as a new summer sport on a trial basis for the upcoming season. This collaborative effort aims to offer students an engaging and dynamic sporting experience, building teamwork and physical endurance in a competitive water-based environment.
Dragon boating, a popular team paddling sport with ancient origins, is making its debut at Marist College and Girls Grammar, offering students the chance to participate in a unique and exhilarating activity. The sport emphasizes coordination, strength, and unity, making it a perfect addition to the summer sports program.
Further details regarding the trial season, including training schedules and team requirements, will be shared at a meeting for interested students. This meeting will take place immediately after assembly this Friday in room E7. All students keen to be part of this exciting new venture are encouraged to attend and learn more about how they can get involved.
Marist College looks forward to seeing strong participation in this new initiative, as the school continues to expand its sports offerings and strengthen ties with Girls Grammar.
