The Marist College Canberra library, catering for both Senior School and Junior School students, plays a significant role in implementing, enhancing and supporting the teaching and learning programs at the College.
Our teacher librarians work closely with staff and students to explore engaging and inquiry-based learning experiences, developing digital and information literacy skills, and a strong, school-wide reading culture.
Staff from the library work together to ensure continuity of engagement for students, while being able to provide dedicated spaces for students to use. Our library offers vibrant teaching and learning environments, with carefully curated resources that cater to the needs of students and staff, blending print and digital holdings to present a rich and dynamic collection for all.
With a quality selection of fiction, non-fiction, magazines and databases available for students, alongside extensive access to a variety of digital devices, the College library facilitates learning in all forms. The online resources at Marist are enviable, boasting databases such as Britannica, EBSCO, Facts on File and the online video platform, ClickView.
The Library runs regular Co-Curricular programs and events for students, including Homework Help, reading challenges, Reading Café and much more. Students are encouraged to engage in activities and programs, and to utilise the library spaces in both traditional and innovative ways.
