School Sport Australia Swimming Championships

The event was held in Melbourne 31 July to 5 August 2011. We had seven Marist boys competing as members of the ACT team. All of the boys swam well against strong competition from many of the best age swimmers in Australia, with most posting personal best times in their events. There were some exceptional individual performances at these championships including three of our swimmers winning medals.

2011 Da Vinci Decathlon

Ten challenges. Half a pizza each. Pat McCulloch. A very interesting day indeed. Our three teams went head to head with the best brains of Australia’s schools. Or at least the year 7’s and 8’s of the ACT. We fought through the Engineering Challenge, Art and Poetry, Code Breaking, Games of Strategy, Creative Producers, Forensic Sleuths, Science, Mathematics, General Knowledge and British… sorry apparently it’s English.
